Yes, I meant every word of the title above. Media are actually the roots of all the troubles we’re having right now. What’s not? Shoot one. From the very beginning, starting from the riots on May 1998 to the assasination of several people by “RYAN” which been solved by the police several weeks ago.
Don’t they get it? the 1998 riots were gone nation wide because the people across the country were inform of it from you, media people. Your publication start a domino-effect, because you only broadcast the ugly-ness of our government. I’m not saying that our government should have not been treated that way, but the publication back then was actually provoking other fellow countryman to began a riot. Media are not making a solution, but instead making a rather false information. Media making big issues become bigger, and wining about the improperness rather than trying to make a proper solution. Just like a 5 years old kid that trying to persuade their parents to buy them a candy. Nothing describe it more than DISGUSTING.
Not having enough? Try the RYAN case which blew up several weeks ago. I’m well aware that we are all disgust of what RYAN has been doing to all of his victim. But does it make him have no right of getting a fair trial?
Nevertheless, a detailed publication of what RYAN has been doing may cause (or even provoked) other to the the exact action as he did before. Guess who start the domino effect? Yes, MEDIA.
What I’m saying is, of all that power, Media, ultimately television, should reconsider and re format on how they serve the news to public. Please, you’re broadcasting in a country which (most of the) people (still) can’t seperate which are good or bad. The power that media possess are unlimited. Why don’t give some of it for the education of your own people?

@ contadictive mind: mengenai lo yg salah comment di blognya may, sorry ada yg kasih tau gw itu memang profesi lo. jadi ga salah dong gw. trus maksudnya gw kasih comment link itu, gw cuma mau kasih tau ada yg bahas tentang media dan jurnalisme juga nih. gw dulu lama menjadi seorang pembaca blog tanpa berniat bikin blog jadi sering tuh liat orang main labrak di blog. jadi cool off aja mas, kita kan ga bisa ngatur orang lain mau ngasih comment apa.
